Christmas Time!

Christmas was amazing this year!!  There were a lot of happenings this year! I will try to go in order...

The weekend before Christmas, we went to the Andreason Christmas Party! So much fun every year and this year was no different! :)
The Girls and a photo-bomber!

Tuesday, we had "Roomie Christmas" and it was fun to actually have all the roommates all together at one time!
Alex, Jeff, Staci, Traci
On Christmas Eve Eve, we went to my brother's house to celebrate Christmas with the Patterson family! We had a homemade Christmas and that made it so fun for gift giving time!

Christmas Eve we celebrated Christmas with Mama Lori, Steve, and Jordon! We received lots of kitchen odds and ends- very much appreciated! And I made Mama Lori an apron! :)

We also went to Grandma Jan's to visit for Christmas that night and had lots of yummy food!

Christmas morning I woke up to this...

He made me breakfast and cookies!! He's the best.

Jeff got me a bunch of Ute's apparel and JAZZ TICKETS! Wooot! We're going January 2nd!

I got Jeff a drill and bit/driver set! He was pretty stoked.

Ike was dressed in his cutest little Santa suit! Awww... :)
Our little family photo :) (Jeff had a bloody nose...excellent addition to the picture.)
Christmas night, we had family over.  Alex got a Wii for Christmas so we all had fun playing that!
Here are the boys showing off their dance moves!

And to finish off Christmas, we went camping at our house with Nate and Brynn. :)

It's sinking in...

I am actually a nursing school student at Weber State! :) I went to orientation on Thursday. I was so super excited! It was actually super boring... AND I got a $15 parking ticket.  But in better news... I start school in less than a month and I got my official badge. Woo hoo!

Also, a neat little fact to entertain you.  We bought Ike a new collar.  It was a small.  That should fit a 20 pound boston-terrier/pug mix, no?  NO. It didn't.  His big ol' puggy neck is so wrinkly and chubs. :) so cute too.  BUT we measured my neck and his neck and THEY ARE THE SAME SIZE.  What?!  Medium it is...

Jeff's 25th Birthday!!

Jeff turned 25 on Wednesday the 7th. :) He is now a quarter century!! [he loves it when I call it that]
I made him a rock climbing birthday cake! It was super fun to make and he was very surprised when he saw what I'd put together....

We had some family over to have a small celebration for him and my brother's cute girl, Mary! They share a birthday! :)

Jeffy, I look forward to making you ridiculous cakes for the rest of your life. :)

Sushi Sunday!

We have the best plan ever! Sushi every Sunday! It's cheap ($2.50 a roll) and delicious! We just call in our order to Red Ginger.  Pick it up.  Go home.  Start a fire.  Play a movie.  Cozy up on the couch together.  Voila!  Perfect way to end the weekend, right?!

Of course, you are welcome to join anytime you wish. :)

Dolan and Heather joined us this last Sunday and it was great to catch up with those two! They are always fun to be with.

-Life.

Thanksgiving dinner with my family was last night and with Jeff's family tonight!  We had great food last night and great company. We hosted it at our house and I was surprised we were able to get everyone to fit comfortably! It was so good to have the whole family together! We all missed Emily though.

On another note, my sister Lynsey gave birth to my 2nd nephew on Monday! He's so cute and it was so fun to have him here for Thanksgiving! WELCOME TO THE FAMILY BABY TREY!

11.11.11 and such!

So for Veteran's Day (11.11.11! woo hooo!) Jeff and I went to a concert in honor of veterans.  It was a wonderful concert! Great music by choirs and the army band and heartbreaking/inspiring stories.  My roommate Alex's girlfriend Taylor performed in the choir and did a great job! It felt good to celebrate, remember, and support those who fight for our freedom.

Saturday, we went to dinner with my sister, Staci and Jeff's family at California Pizza Kitchen! They have such good food and even better service. :)

Sunday, Jeff woke me up to a house on fire!! Ahhh!
Ha ha, no.  Just kidding.  It was a fire, but it was contained in our fireplace.  Got you!
Seriously though, it was soooo cozy! I sat by the fire and did crafts for Christmas gifts and Jeff did his homework.  Oh, happy day!

2 in a Row!

That's 2 fun weekends!

We started the weekend with such a fun night at Brad and Leah's house! We played Wii and had a fun time just chatting and cracking up! They are so funny - we were laughing all night! It was our first little get-together with them and we will definitely have to do it again!

Saturday was Jeff's Grandma Jan's 80th Birthday Celebration so we helped set up and celebrate with the family! And then we headed over to his other grandparents house to visit one last time before they are gone in Arizona for the winter.  We had the most delicious homemade apple pie (with homegrown apples) with homemade ice cream.  Soooo good! And I absolutely love Jeff's grandparents.  They remind me so much of Jeff and I [hopefully] in 60 years. They are always laughing.

Sunday we had lunch with my cousin Sean and his fiance Amy at a great vegetarian restaurant, Vertical Diner. Delicious food and great conversation! Sunday is our housework day so we always do laundry and grocery shopping and whatever else needs to be done.  We were so done with running around that we decided to order Chinese take-out instead of grocery shop [good alternative, I'd say].  We found the GREATEST little place! Red Ginger.  Sooo good. It is a Chinese Bistro and Sushi Bar.  They have $5.00 sushi rolls, but they are HALF OFF.  $2.50 sushi rolls?!  What the what!?  It was such a delicious splurge and we only had to spend $30 for 4 sushi rolls, lo mein, and eel teriyaki combo.  It fed us both for dinner and lunch the next day - gotta love that!

aaaaaand... Monday [it counts because it was Halloween!]
My cutest niece and nephew came over along with my sister Lynsey and her husband Rob.  My dad came over as well and took Nate and Brynn trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.  Sean and Amy also stopped by for a minute.  I made some pumpkin muffins to share - Yummy!

I hope everyone had a great and safe Halloween weekend!

P.S. - what's with 16 year olds trick-or-treating? They should AT LEAST dress up and and scream "trick-or-treat" if they're going to take all of my Dots out of the bowl, right??
